Irvine Valley Veterinary Hospital in Irvine is looking for an experienced ER veterinarian to add to our team. We are a non-corporate hospital where our doctors get to manage cases “start to finish.” We offer 1:1 mentorship with our criticalist and our lead veterinarian when needed. We are one of the only ER hospitals in the area that sees exotics. We have a lead exotics vet, and our team gets regular training on exotic husbandry, handling , and medicine.
Our newer AAHA-certified facility offers high quality equipment including endoscopy, ultrasound, digital x-ray, urine sediment reader, vessel sealer, cautery, and plasma sterilizer. Our doctors work with excellent team members, including 6 RVT’s.
We are located in the City of Irvine right off the 5 freeway. The City of Irvine offers aquatic centers, sports parks, open trails for hiking, a performance arts center, shopping, and lots of dining opportunities. Irvine has excellent schools, and it is a wonderful place to live.

In addition to having a 24/7 ER hospital, we have membership only Primary care and Integrative Medicine Practice. We have openings for day, swing, and overnight shifts.
The ideal candidate will have 2-3 years of experience as a small animal veterinarian and is competent in emergency surgical procedures. Experience with exotics, endoscopy and ultrasound in an emergency setting is a plus. A great attitude and the ability to maintain good relationships with referring veterinarians is a must.
