You will learn ways to engage staff by using humor, different learning styles, games, and incentives. Making fast-paced decisions about safety in and out of work is never easy so help prepare your staff with the ability and knowledge to make those decisions.

Kim is a Certified Veterinary Practice Manager (CVPM) with over 15 years of experience in the veterinary field. As the founder of Candid Approach Consulting, she specializes in leadership development, conflict resolution, and team communication, helping veterinary teams create a more efficient and harmonious workplace.
Kim’s journey from Receptionist to Practice Manager has given her a deep, firsthand understanding of clinic operations, team dynamics, and the challenges veterinary professionals face daily. Her ability to connect with staff at all levels allows her to provide practical, real-world strategies that improve workflow, morale, and client interactions.
In addition to her extensive veterinary experience, Kim has a background in Criminal Justice spanning over 30 years, including 21 years as a State Parole Supervisor for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Her expertise in handling high-pressure situations, de-escalating conflicts, and fostering strong leadership has translated seamlessly into veterinary practice management. By applying lessons from law enforcement and criminal justice, she brings a fresh and effective approach to teamwork, problem-solving, and workplace culture in veterinary settings.
Kim is passionate about education, mentorship, and developing future leaders across various fields. She continues to bridge the gap between her two professional worlds, equipping veterinary professionals with the skills they need to navigate stress, strengthen communication, and lead with confidence.
