Animal Medical Hospital of Pasadena is a small two doctor practice who has been in the community since 1927. Our new owners bought the hospital three years ago and have continue the tradition of practicing good excellent medicine and providing excellent client service. We are looking for someone who has at least 1 year of customer service experience, and veterinary reception experience is preferred. We are open to training and helping you develop your skills as an entry level receptionist as well. Dover Shores Pet Care Center is looking for an experienced veterinary receptionist. Dover Shores has been in Costa Mesa for over 25 years and strives to provide expert veterinary care with a personal touch.

Our ideal candidate loves animals and is sympathetic to how powerfully humans’ bond with their pets. In the role of receptionist, the candidate will be expected to learn and use medical terminology, manage patient files, and convey medical instructions from the veterinarian to the client. Our receptionists are also responsible for warmly greeting our clients in the waiting room and on the phone and managing client payments.

The candidate should be a high school graduate, be available to work our scheduled hours, and enjoy being part of a team.

One year of veterinary hospital experience is required.

The duties of the position can include but are not limited to:

• Using our computer software Avimark, to check clients in/out
• Answering phones & making appointments
• Maintaining medical records
• Provide excellent customer service
• Assisting with animal care when needed
• Cleaning the hospital
• Must be willing to learn and adapt to hospital protocols.
• Able to sit, squat, bend, walk quickly, and stand for 6+ hours at a time.
• Must be able to lift, pull, restrain, or push 50 lbs of weight and reach above head.

This is a full-time position and we are looking for someone with a flexible schedule. Weekends and some holidays ARE required.

We provide veterinary discounts for our employees as well as sick pay and PTO for full time employees after one year.

Compensation is depending on experience.
