The veterinary profession is continuing to experience a Workforce crisis even as the pandemic is in our rearview mirror.  With everyone competing for a smaller pool of skilled staff members and new veterinary business models popping up in our neighborhoods, how do we retain and hold onto our key staff members and keep them happy?"  

Leslie Boudreau, BASVT, RVTg, CVPM, PHR, PHRca, SPHR has been a Veterinary Technologist and Practice Manager in Southern California for over 30 years. Leslie holds three human resources certifications: PHR (Professional in Human Resources), PHRca (California specific Certification), and SPHR (Senior Professional in Human Resources). She is also pursuing her MBA in Human Resources Management.

Leslie is passionate about all aspects of veterinary practice management and helping the profession grow and adapt to future changes. Since 2013, she has enjoyed being a Program Committee Member for VHMA and currently serves on the VHMA Board of Directors as the Treasurer. In fall of 2023 she will be serving as VHMA’s Vice President.
