For my September, SCVMS Webinar Jessica Molina, PHR, CVPM, ARM is going to talk about  how to help get your team the pay they deserve.

Everyone feels the rising cost of veterinary care, and hearing a client say 'you're just in it for the money' stings, especially when many team members are quietly wondering where the money actually goes. This session helps you with the confidence to answer those questions with your team directly, positioning practice leaders to appropriately engage in staff education and discussion that highlights how the veterinary practice sets prices, how revenue is allocated, and what financial health actually looks like inside a practice. More importantly, we will talk about how you can help individual team members see how they can position themselves for improved compensation, understand what drives those decisions, and advocate for themselves effectively. The goal is to help you give every person in the room a clearer, more honest picture of the business they work in and a stronger sense of agency within it.

Learning Objectives:

  • Recognize the emotional weight that financial conversations carry for both veterinary professionals and clients.
  • Explain the rationale behind veterinary pricing strategies and how those decisions are made.
  • Describe how revenue is allocated within a veterinary practice and what drives each major category of spending.
  • Identify the indicators of financial health in a practice and explain what they mean for team stability and compensation.
  • Develop a strategy for advocating effectively for fair and appropriate personal compensation.
